North Dakota has more than 800 sites throughout the state that offer blackjack, with a $5 maximum bet, for the benefit of charities. There are also six Indian casinos which, although not restricted to that same $5 amount, are limited by law to the following maximum bets: blackjack-$50, craps-$25, slots-$5, video poker-$5 and poker-$10 per bet, per round with a maximum of three rounds.
The terms of the state's compact with the tribes require the electronic machines to return a minimum of 80% and a maximum of 100%.
