In craps, players who bet that the shooter will beat the house (by analogy, this includes come bettors) are known as right bettors or do bettors. Those who wager that the shooter (or come bettors) will lose are known as wrong bettors or don't bettors. These are just the terms that are used; they don't imply that wrong bettors are actually doing anything wrong or that right bettors are in any way superior to them.
1.THE PASS-LINE BET
The pass-line bet is the basic wager at the game of craps. It is a bet that says the shooter will win through one of the means explained above, throwing a natural on the come-out or making his point. You do not have to be the shooter by making a pass-line bet. Any player who wishes to can bet on the shooter by making a pass-line wager. This is why you will often see the other players at a crap table cheering when the shooter wins. It's not out of any altruistic feelings. Their fortunes were riding with him because they all had pass-line bets down. The proper way to make a pass-line wager is to place the chips you wish to bet within the strip marked PASS that circles the outer part of the layout. Because of the position of the pass line on the layout, these wagers are also called front-line bets. The appropriate time to make the bet is immediately before a come-out roll. Pass-line bets are paid at even money. The dealer will place your winnings on the pass line next to your original bet. You must collect this money before the next roll, or it will count as a new pass-line bet. When you bet the pass line, the house enjoys a 1.414 percent edge.
