Land based casino suing online casino websites

17 October 2010
A lot of land based casinos are still suffering from the worldwide downturn and Station Casinos is one of them and currently struggling to turnaround the economy. Online gambling has also turned out to be an obstacle on land based casinos, and apparently, Stations has decided to sue two online website operators.

Station has taken proceedings against S.L. Enterprises and Ryan Murphy, a UK resident. The two accused websites run the websites vegasstationcasino.com and stationcasino.org, correspondingly. Station Casinos is arguing that the websites are utilizing their brand name to get traffic to online casinos.

The company also claims that the two websites are drawing players via web searches and that the players may be looking for Station Casinos. Apparently, these accusations are going to be difficult to prove and to bring the case to the court.
