Ireland for increasing money had included some actions for eliminating unregulated gambling operations, while re-evaluating the taxes and charges in online gaming world. this incorporated taxes like taxing online gambling, imposing a tax on operators for supporting gambling education services, full banning of supersized gambling resorts and limiting all moderately sizes casinos. Also, financial and historic backgrounds of gambling promoters are evaluated and only those promoters, who have fulfilled the high standards of financial and personal probity, will be considered for issuing license.
Next year, this newly proposed laws will be applicable, but banning of huge casinos may cause threat to Las Vegas, which was running for many years. However, Tipperary resort developers, who have planned €460 million development, will continue with their planned development.
Also, one speaker of popular online gambling operator stated that taxation will not be problem for them, if this will be charged equally for both international and Irish players for this purpose. The proposed changes done in taxation system would result in earning of €100 millions from all land based and online casinos.
