Rolling Around on the Floor. And other things my MFA has required.
Posted on December 9, 2010
So this semester I took an acting class with one of the greats. Her name is Wendy Philips and in addition to letting us lie on the floor a few times, she drew the best out of the 16 students lucky enough to take her class. One of the exercises she used, intended to pull us all the way out of our comfort zone, was to sing a song from start to finish in front of the group, then infuse each take of the song with a different emotion. Turns out, though, that most writers are emotional as all get out. Here are 9 of the songs that my classmates and I sung. The good news for you, listener, is that this playlist includes only tracks as sung by their original artists.
Classmates: enjoy. If you have another page and want the embed code, lemme know.
